Saturday pannings

 Last Saturday, as the traffic wasn't nothing really special, went for some experiences with pannings...
These 2 were the ones that turned out best.
Despite they weren't made on too low speeds (1/80), still some nice effects...

Nova foto da Semana: EH-101, Medevac Nocturna

Ontem decidi que ia aproveitar a tarde Sábado, para algum spotting.
4 Air Berlins, 1 Aigle Azur e mais um par de TAP's e Easyjet's seriam um bom motivo (nada de muito interessante mas, pelo menos tinha quantidade...)

No entanto, o movimento de maior interesse acabaria por ser uma Medevac, efectuada de forma bastante inesperada pelo EH-101 da Esquadra 751, baseado no AM3, Porto Santo.

Acabei por ter de esperar algum tempo por ele e entretanto o final de tarde transformou-se em anoitecer, o que tornou as coisas bem mais interessantes, já que as nocturnas do EH são um tipo de fotos que já ando a querer fazer há muito tempo...

Chegada do 19610...infelizmente foi conduzido para o Alpha 10 ou 11, que  é  um stand que fica bastante longe...
Estava com esperanças que tivesse ficado no Alpha 3...

A distância a que o heli ficou obrigou a fotos de 500mm e para o resultado final ainda foi necessário um crop algo grande...

Transavia Special liveries

Today I had the miss of the week (at least...).

PH-XRA, with the new 2012 Beach Volleyball special livery came today to Madeira, from AMS (Amsterdam) and I unfortunatelly didn't managed to get it...

Looks like the weather was really crappy and dark but, still a bad pic of better than no pic at all....

Anyway, it's a good oportunity for an entry with some Transavia special liveries I've caught around here....

PH-HZX with Jumbo Supermarkten livery

PH-HZL with Cosmo secret fashion trip.
This one almost had to go to Porto Santo, due visibility and rain.
It still made quite a few holding patterns before the landing

PH-XRA had another fantastic special livery but also didn't get it (and as far as I know it didn't come to Madeira on those colors... (Mobile...)

Clown nose A310

On last entry, gave a litle view on every livery I caught around here on A310's but I thinks that this one deserves also a little reference: TAP's A310 "clown nose" ;)

Airbus A310 at Madeira

The posting on some FB aviation groups reminded me of sharing these pics on the A310 at Madeira.
It doesn't show every A310 I've caught but as far as I can remember it does represent each livery I managed to get around here ...

It was quite an early wake...

F-GEMO, from Eagle Aviation.
Got it a couple of times.
It went on duty with Ariana Afghan Airlines and scrapped in June 2006...
D-AHLZ, with old Hapag-Lloyd colors
The same D-AHLZ, already using the colors of its next (and last) user, Siberian S7.
It was quite a surprise to get this fantastic livery around here

This nice A310 (T.22-1), from Ejercito del Aire (Spanish Air Force) was also at Madeira, back in 2009, supporting the visit of the Kings of Spain to our archipelago.
Didn't get it at Madeira but still, managed to get it at Porto Santo (LPPS / PXO)

New Photo of the Week: Spotting at LPMA

Last Thursday had to go to Machico.
If things turned out ok, I could manage to get the right timming to catch the arrival of the schedulled Monarch.


Unfortunatelly, didn't manage to do so...
Still, made a quick stop on one of the best and usual spotting places just in time to get the arrival of D-AICG, from Condor (come on Condor, how about bringing the retro D-AICA to Madeira??)


With a regular A320 from Condor, decided for a diferent view on its landing
Indeed a fantastic spotting place (it just needed the matching traffic....)

G-MONX, the Monarch A320 had already arrived.
It was the first visit from Monarch since they stoped flying to Madeira, at the end of last Summer season.
A charter flight, from Manchester, via London Gatwick that is schedulled to depart Sunday.
Anyway an already well known registation at Madeira...

It sure spends a lot of time stoped over there...
Rumors on Sata International problems are starting to spread...who knows how real they are...??

Malev shut down....

Looks like the worst scenario happened...Malev has ceased operations...

The info provided on their webpage:

6 am 03 February 2012 – Malév ceases its operation
Based on the Board of Directors’ decision Hungary’s National Airline ceased its operation to minimize its losses. According to this statement, after nearly 66 years of continuous operation, Malév aircrafts will not depart from 6 am 03 February. “Unfortunately, the event occurred which we had a greatest fear of and we wanted to avoid with might and main. Although, until the latter days there were prospects to continue operation and the trust of our passengers is unbroken, our partners lost their trust due to the information published in the last days and they started to ask for payment of their services in advance. This speeded up the cash outflow and the situation of the airline became untenable. It is also known that the owner, despite the best intentions, is unable to provide additional financial resources to operate after the EU decision. Considering all these the Board decided to order the cease of operation of the Hungary’s National Airline. We apologize to all of our passengers.” - announced CEO Loránt Limburger.
 The Call Centre informs the Airline’s passengers about the way how they can get to their destinations and the possibilities of compensation. Passengers entitled to rerouting According to the government regulation which entered into force on 31st January 2012, assistance can be provided to those passengers who purchased their valid tickets before Malév cease and whose travel dates are on the suspension day or on the following three calendar days. In addition, to those who already travelled to their destination on the suspension day or before and posses valid return tickets on Malév flights on a date not later than 29th February 2012. Those who are entitled are going to have assistance from Malév by rerouting their tickets to other flights or other modes of transportation.

This year is starting to sound real bad to airlines (as well as many other companies...)

The Hungarian company has been here at least a couple of times with B737 (HA-LOC and HA-LOH), back in 2004 and 2006:

Temporalidades...

Ontem dei de caras com uns trabalhos fotográficos que achei extraordinariamente interessantes!

No meio da navegação, encontrei anda outros do mesmo género mas em que a temática é o dia/noite (mas, perdi o link...)

De qualquer forma, na falta de aviões, decidi que era uma coisa bem interessante a experimentar...
E comecei pela mais fácil (ou pelo menos mais cómoda...)
Meti o tripé na varanda e tirei uma nocturna da vista traseira e deixei-o lá durante a noite para tirar uma outra foto pela manhã...

Para primeira experiência, não está, se calhar muito má...
Uma coisa a continuar, sem dúvida, até porque provavelmente uma foto tirada ao final da tarde teria melhores resultados para a zona diurna...
Para a outra experiência, utilizei uma foto antiga do Funchal (obrigado ao autor, desconhecido, já que a foto não ostenta créditos...) e tentei, esta manhã, obter uma outra do mesmo ângulo, distância, etc...

O resultado dessa conjugação de temporalidades, numa zona bem conhecida da baixa Funchalense, a Praça do Município e o Largo do Colégio...
