The joys of football... :)
Last month we got at Madeira, for the first time, the Ukranian airline WindRose, on a charter flight with FC Dynamo Kyev, which came to play with local CS Marítimo for the UEFA Competitions.

After one season they had planned a charter operation that was canceled this was finaly a first :)

The Emirates Embraer

First time I got the oportunity to get an UAE registration around here...
This Embraer 135BJ Legacy arrived at Porto Santo, from Geneve and its passangers, after a quick trip on the island, went to Madeira.

Belgium Family Life...Getting stupid

Had already some shots of Thomson's (TUI Uk) Family Life G-FDZG (check HERE) but this was the first time I got the belgium one (OO-JAF).
With runway 23 in use, would probably get some nice shots but decided to try to find a bit of a diferent spot for this take-off, as the G-FDZG had also been caught from here....
Well...long story short....this is the only pic I got of the plane.....

Photo of the Week: Air Europa 30 Years

30 Years of airline is allways worth to celebrate.
Can't say it's the prettiest special livery I've seen....but at least the number isn't under the fuselage, like the TAP 70 years.....
Anyway it was well worth the catch as it was the first I got Air Europa new livery despite  the older one is still my fav....

Citation II da Armada

U20-03 em night-stop na Madeira

Por hoje fica apenas um registo simples mas importante de um Citation II da Marinha Espanhola, já que é o primeiro registo que faço de uma aeronave destas.

Pertence à 4ª Escuadrilla da Marinha Espanhola, baseada na Base Naval de Rota, em Cadiz, que opera 3 aparelhos destes, além de um Citation VII (C-650).

Brazilian Legacy

Photo of the Week: Condor 767

As far as I can remember, last time we had a B767 here was las year, in July, with Thomson G-OBYG making a flight to return home some passengers of Black Watch cruise ship that caught fire while on it's way to Madeira (Check HERE) and the last time I got a Condor 767, I still was shooting with my Bigma (and it was some of its last shots....) check HERE

So, a Condor 767 was well worth a run to the airport, even if it was just a "touch and go" before returning to Funchal, on a busy day, even to get one with a regular livery...(Still waiting for a retro, Condor....)

Por hoje fica um par de registos do aparelho que transportou o Cristiano Ronaldo para Madrid, após a cerimónia de mudança de nome do aeroporto da Madeira...(sim, aquela que foi apadrinhada pelo Batman e que levou a Madeira ...ou pelo menos o busto dele às bocas do mundo...)

Falcon Presidencial

Na passada terça-feira tivemos o Falcon 50 da Esquadra 504 da Força Aérea em nigh-stop. Acabei por não ir fazer umas nocturnas mas, ontem lá tive oportunidade de fazer umas fotos à saída do Presidente da Republica Portuguesa, após a cerimónia de alteração do nome do Aeroporto.

Ao início da manhã, o 17402, com cores nacionais civis a taxiarem para o stand, após aterragem na 23 (A319 da TAP, CS-TTJ)

Uma panorâmica da zona da placa onde se encontrava o Falcon 50 da Força Aérea e o Gulfstream G200 EC-KBC da TAG Aviation Espanha, que transportou o Cristiano Ronaldo, com o Easyjet de LIS a chegar (G-EZFD)

MADJet's CS-DPA

MADJet had its Hawker 900XP based at Madeira for a few years.
Now it's based at the mainland and it's been fully overhauled, including a new livery.
Yestesday made its first flight to Madeira, after the changes
Arrived from Ponta Delgada (LPPD/PDL) before proceeding to Lisbon (LPPT/LIS).

The plane looks really nice with the new livery and lights...

Black Friday at Madeira Airport....

Black Friday...
well, I guess that for a spotter which doesn't like shopping this hasn't the same meaning that it has for the most people...

As far as I now, no black planes today at Madeira but, still a good day for remembering the black planes traffic around here...

Os Airbus A319CJ (bizjet) são uma raridade por cá.
Esta semana, o OE-LJG, da MJet marcou presença entre nós 2 vezes. A primeira no dia 13, para trazer alguns passgeiros de Moscovo, tendo chegado já ao anoitecer e a segunda, ontem, num voo posicionado com origem em Londres (Luton).
Ainda estive na dúvida se ia mas, a raridade do movimento lá me fez decidir ir, à ultima da hora, para umas fotos, ainda por cima, com o extra de serem na 23, com um fundo sempre interessante...

Na final para a 23, apanhando os últimos raios de sol...

É bem raro ter a oportunidade de apanhar a chegada (ver AQUI), o night-stop e a partida de um bizjet..

Tive a sorte de conseguir fazer isso com o Challenger 300 norte-americano N301JL que por cá esteve alguns dias o mês passado.

Night-stop, no dia em que o Fokker 100 da PGA fez o seu últmo voo programado para a Madeira.

Went to the airport for the departure of Tarom's A310 (check HERE) and got this Learjet 45 as the first New Year surprise :)
