Private Embraer

Despite the crappy weather, went for some shots on this nice Embraer 135BJ Legacy 650...
Not an usual catch for me and the remaining family was busy with homework so went for some pics...

Landing on runway 05 after a long run, from Moscow Vnokovo Airport...

D-ALOA, Air Hamburg
After about 1h it departed to Marrakesh, with a short take-off

JLO

No...not talking about THE J.LO... :P

Embraer EMB-135BJ Legacy PP-JLO is already a regular visitor to Madeira.

From last December 15th, the same day of the Falcon Aviation Gulfstream (check HERE):
This one arrived already after sunsetting behind the mountains...tryed some panning on landing but opposite to the Gulfstream shot, these ones turned out crappy blurred, so...a shot of the backtrack to the stand...

Só para efeitos de registo pessoal...hoje tivemos pela primeira vez A321 da SATA por cá (CS-TSF)...amanhã há mais...a ver se é amanhã que apanho um desses por cá...

The Brazilian Legacy

PP-JLO at Madeira, after arriving from Milan
This beautiful brazilian Embraer ERJ-135BJ Legacy 600 has became a more frequent sight at Madeira, with a few visits during last months.
Still, not many pics of it, and the oportunity of getting it on a night-stop in front of the public balcony was too good to miss..

Unfortunately, the public balcony was mostly closed due to some works that are beeing prepared (I wonder what works are those....) and this was the only possible perspective...which was rather good...if the plane would have been parked on any other stand and it would have been a lost trip to the airport....

The Emirates Embraer

First time I got the oportunity to get an UAE registration around here...
This Embraer 135BJ Legacy arrived at Porto Santo, from Geneve and its passangers, after a quick trip on the island, went to Madeira.
The plane stayed at Porto Santo.

on final to runway 36....dark day, no beach so, glad we got this one ...

At the apron, in one of the following days....
was expecting to make some night-shots of the bird but ended up not beeing in the mood....
The joys of an hobby...do it only if it you're in the mood...

New Photo of the Week: Spotting runway 23

Last monday, went, for the first time on these vacations, to the airport for an afternoon of spotting.

Lucky me, runway 23 was in use so, decided to try out a few diferent spots for the take-offs.
The best framings didn't turn out as good as I wanted (out of focus and some heat haze) but still, these points turned out to be some good locations, to explore further more...

My favorite of the day...PGA's Foker 100 CS-TPC climbing out from runway 23, to Lisbon (LIS/LPPT)

One of the targets of the day...it's been a long time since I last had photographed a Luxair and I really do like its livery...
LX-LGQ landing on 23

and the take off...too bad the best framing pics, with the airport in the back turned out too crappy...

Very early take off for Easyjet's  G-EZIO, photographed from the most usual spotting point...

Another of my favorite pics of the day... F-GYAQ, the red tail A321, from Air Méditerranée

The landing

another view of the take off, side-by-side with me...

Yet on another spot, the Sata's Q400 CS-TRG take-off to Ponta Delgada (PDL/LPPD) provided some nice shots...

The surprise of the day: G-CMAS, from Execujet, an ERJ-135 Legacy that landed on runway 23 while I was on the  side, waiting for the take-offs

G-OZBB, another target of the day as I still hadn't photographed any Monarch this year.
Also my first Monarch with the new lettering

G-EZFW, just arrived at the stand...

Bluebird Cargo

Saturday's privates

One of the purposes of last Saturday spotting session at Madeira's airport was to get the rare Embraer ERJ-135 that was at there.
When I got there, it was preparing to leave...

The Embraer ERJ-135 Legacy 600 from London Excecutive Aviation (G-HUBY) lining up on runway 05

"local" Madejet's Hawker CS-DPA also made a few entries on the ruway for engine tests
The private arrival of the afternoon, SE-RFJ, a Cessna 680 Citation

A small overview, incluind the other bizjet that was at Madeira:
Omni's CS-TFO, a Learjet 40 that had been making some trainings at Madeira and Porto Santo the previous day.

ERJ-135 at Porto Santo

Haven't caught many Embraers, so couldn't miss the oportunity to get this one, even if only on the ground.

It arrived around 12h and departed about an hour later to Moscow-Vnukovo (UUWW) with the final flight level of FL390 (pretty hight)....

While I was taking the photos throught the gate K9, noticed the first signs of increased security for the the visit of the Kings of Spain and Portuguese President, as a policeman came to me and asked me if the "thing" I was holding was a photographic camera...
(yeah...did he think it was a bazooka??).

Police at Porto Santo never cared of whatever I was doing before...just on those days...
You could also notice they were doing some armed patrols around the airport area, which I never seen before...

Anyway, the pics...

The police talking to me called the attention of the pilot...
Don't know if it was someone "important" inside and couldn't care less...just want to photograph the plane, thanks...
