Planes and stuff

Looks like the choice of West Air Europe is to keep on the Lisbon-Madeira-Lisbon cargo route... On the day of the premiere of " Hans " at Madeira, Condor's retro (check HERE ), I also got some shots of the cargo ATP, with a bit of wind strugling on final to 05... LX-WAE

Yesterday, we had Ukraine International back to the flights from Kiev. Not sure how many flight will they make but it won't be many so, despite the time of arrival wasn't the best, decided to go.... UR-PSC landing on 05 On Alpha 5, with a TAP taxiing on the back to runway 05 not an usual rest place for this crewmember... getting the push-back in place... Cleared to taxi, runway 05

Yesterday we had, in less than half an hour 3 Air Nostrum's, including the premiere of one of their new CRJ-1000 in a new flight, from Madrid. The other 2 were CRJ-900 in the already know routes of Valencia (VLC/LEVC) and Bilbao (BIO/LEBB) With the oportunity of going to a couple of cockpits, the one from the CRJ-1000 deserved the choice for the Photo of the Week... The cockpit of the EC-LPN, a new Canadair CRJ-1000, received by Air Nostrum in February The CRJ-1000 landing on 05, arriving from Madrid EC-JZT, one of the CRJ-900 One wheel landing... Com um pedido para tentar fazer algumas fotos durante este fim de semana, acabei por dar um salto ao aeroporto ao final da manhã, aproveitando o facto do Sata de Las Palmas chegar sensivelmente à mesma hora que os 3 CRJ's da Air Nostrum previstos para hoje, fazendo o 2 em 1 (ou neste caso, o 4 em 1...) Os Air Nostrum ficam para depois... CS-TKJ na final para a 05, numa imagem que, infelizmente se destaca por mostrar bem os resultados dos incêndios que têm assolado o concelho de Santa Cruz... Boa sorte para a próxima fase! ;)

No dia da estreia do D-AHFZ com as novas cores (ver AQUI ), tivemos, como já referi um par de visitas do C-295 da Força Aérea destacado no AM3 - Porto Santo. Depois da Medevac da tarde (ver AQUI ), o 16710 ainda voltaria, ao final da tarde para um par de treinos de aterragem na pista 05, como " Snout05 " Ficam algumas fotos da primeira passagem...

Finally, after months of long wait we managed to get Condor's A320 with the retro livery (the livery that they used back in the sixties...) After Tuifly newest special livery a couple of days before, it was Condor time to get the "crowds" back to the LPMA/FNC main spotting places... (even the youngest spotter managed to get a nice pic of D-AICA.... hehe) Landing on runway 05, arriving from Hamburg After rotation, taxiing back to runway 05... Departing back to Hamburg, from 05 And now, a premiere on this blog...the young Sofia Sousa, also managed to get a nice shot with a small Canon Ixus 80IS... :)) Congrats!!

Hurray for Tuifly! They have to be the most interesting airline flying to Madeira...lots of special liveries and they seem to be coming out in quite a quick way... After some time waiting for D-AHFR (that still didn't come to Madeira...despit it looks like it's schedulled to come next week...) we managed to get Tuifly newest special livery without waiting too much... Straight from a special livery to another (check HERE ), D-AHFZ now bears the Mein CEWE Fotobuch special livery... Yesterday it came twice to Madeira...went for the afternoon arrival arriving under a nice afternoon light.... smoky landing, while a TAP holds off runway 05 Its airline brother DAHFW, now back to Tuifly colors taking off (was previously with Air Berlin colors) Pushing-back It's not an amazing livery like other Tuifly has been carrying but in a time that planes are beeing painted with more and more white it's great to spot something as colorfull as this one...

Há já bastante tempo que não tinha oportunidade de passar uma tarde fantástica no aeroporto, como hoje. Sol, bom tráfego e algumas coisas inesperadas...muito bom... A razão que me levou ao aeroporto foi a vinda do D-AHFZ, da Tuifly, com a sua nova pintura especial mas, a minha veia mais a puxar para o tráfego militar faz com que partilhe estas primeiro... O Medic36 é um callsign já bem conhecido por estas bandas mas, nem por isso deixo de gostar de tentar fazer umas fotos, ainda para mais, sempre é uma forma de dar a conhecer esta importante missão da Força Aérea Portuguesa. Chegada do C-295 da Esquadra 502, baseado no AM3, Porto Santo, com mais uma evacuação daquela ilha para a Madeira... Neste caso, a situação deveria inspirar cuidados extra, visto, além da ambulância, estar igualmente a aguardar pelo evacuado(a) uma viatura EMIR (Equipa Médica de Intervenção Rápida)... Um ângulo diferente, enquanto o C-295 taxiava para a 05, para o regresso ao Porto Sa

Remember the USAF KC-10 ( 84-0186) from a couple of entries ago (check HERE )? Here's a few more details on this big bird... Looks like the refueller also can get refuelled... A nice detail...it's almost like looking at a model with an open cut, so we can se the inside... This one was configured with some passenger seats, besides the cargo and fuel areas A close-up on guidance lights for the refueling systems As far as I know it was the only time we got one of these around here...(here with 2005, a C-130J from USCG)
