New Photo of the Week - Rainy days...

Imagem
These lasts days have been of rain, at Madeira. Yesterday, Sunday, the rain and specially the visibility were quite bad at Madeira Internacional Airport and at least a couple of TP flights, including the A330 from Lisbon to Caracas (via Madeira) had to divert to Porto Santo , due to visibility. This Weeks pic was taken last year but, I guess, yesterday, the weather wouldn't be a lot diferent from that... Despite de darkness, rain allways adds some nice effects to the pics... Bulgaria Air New livery

Imagem
On the same day that I photographed the famous fantastic Transavia Crew (already my most viewed post...), I also managed to get, for the first time, Bulgaria Air new colors. It doesn't look that diferent from the old one, but I guess it looks more refreshing and modern. The registration is the same that I had already caught before at Madeira ...(looks like it's the only plane they bring here....) runway in use: 23

Finnair Colors

Imagem
Noticed yesterday Finnair's new livery in Skyliner (Check HERE ).... Well, looks quite bad...(in my opinion). To do that, then they might as well stay the same... Anyway, looking forward to start seeing their B757 around here with the new livery...at least it's different.... Until now, only photographed 2 liveries by Finnair and the current one is definitely my favorite (specially against the new one....) Full set of gone liveries...

Mega Photo post - The C-295 implementation at AM3

Imagem
This was definitely the AM3 - Porto Santo month. In the beginning of the month (5th November) the C-295 replaced the Aviocar on the Detachments at Porto Santo and yesterday, it celebrated the Unit Day and the replacement of the Unit Commander. Soon will be posting an article on the Unit day but, for now it's time to share the photos of the C-295 Implementation at AM3. A few days ago published at Walkarounds and article on the Air Force Madeira Air Detachment, the C-212 and the C-295, you can check it HERE (or in the reports link, on the right). Was waiting for this report to be published to release a full photo report on the event.... Lt-Col. Diná Azevedo, Sqn.502 Commander Air Force Chief of Staff, Gen. Luís Araújo Inside the C-212  Into the C-295... Today is a General Strike day at Portugal. This one was taken in LEVS - Museu del Aire, Madrid last easter but, I guess it's quite descriptive of what's happening today in Portuguese airports... In Madeira there will be hapenning only 2 flights today: 1 to/from Porto Santo and another to/from Lisbon as the minimal assured service....

New Photo of the Week - Spotting a Lisbon Tram....

Imagem
This week, for the first time (I think....) the Photo of the Week won't be about planes. Was looking at some vacation pics and found this one. Looked like the right pic to play around a little bit in Photoshop. Usually I don't give much post-processing to the pics I take. Some leveling, sharp and sometimes a little bit of color correction, before rezising for the web In my opinion, for my kind of Aircraft Spotting photography if the pic needs too much work in PS then it's a crappy one and I don't use it, unless it's something really special or rare. The other reason to choose this pic was to call the attention to other kinds of spotting. Last week, a national newspaper published a small article on the spotters and the planes that were coming to the Lisbon NATO summit... Looks like it's common to think that only the guys that photograph planes are spotters... Well, there are all kind of spotting, planes, ships, trains, etc...and you don't really

Air Force (not One)

Imagem
On a weekend that the Portuguese Spotters were on the hunt for the Air Force One, at Lisbon, it's a good time to share a couple of pics of something closer (at least in the livery....lol) to that one.... It looks really nice in this livery and like the Air Force One this Weekend, this one was also here due to a NATO meeting...
